The book was very informative, but dealt more in generalities than the specifics I was looking for. I guess that will have to be my next read… The examples were a good way of helping the reader understand. I would recommend the book to anyone that needs a good overview of private mortgage investing.

Good basic book on investing in private mortgage.
The co-author has a two page advertisement in the back of the book. I called and we were working out a possible loan on a commercial building, but he suddenly stopped answering my phone calls and emails. Not very professional. Maybe he doesn’t want to work with small investors. I don’t know.
