Mortgage Refinance – Car buying when application in process. Can I do it?
I know a credit check or an auto loan can screw up the refinance.
But I am wondering if I can buy a car in cash when the refinance is in-process.
I have a few CDs saved for my son (7yrs old) as his college fund in minor custody accounts. My broker told me that they do not count as my property, so those accounts were never reported in the refinance. The closing cost will be funded by my own accounts.
If I use money from my son’s CD account, drawing out as cash, and get a certified check to trade a car at dealer, will this affect my refinance?
If I should wait until the closing, do I need to wait until 3 days after closing?
I am talking about buying with full payment in cash, no loan, and no money out of my accounts. Only drawing money from my son’s account.
Even I plan to re-open a new CD after the refinance completed, but it is not a loan from my 7 years old.
I would not do this. Not one bit.
That mortgage application has to go for underwriting.
You never know if they will require more in savings or if they state your debt is too high.
Wait till after you buy the home. Please.
Will the FDIC hire me with a theft conviction on my record?
I was convicted of one count of theft and three counts of passing bad checks in 2001, I just interviewed with a bank doing collections on mortgages (not handling any money) but apparantly you still have to be insured by the FDIC. I was honest with the interviewer and told him about it, and he said he wants to hire me and is going to get the process started, and to just be honest on the application and fully explain the charges.. but i was looking at the FDIC’s website section 19 and it looks like there is a mandatory 10 year bar on people convicted of dishonest crimes including theft! anyone know about this?
ok here is a side note – I applied for an expungement and I go to court June 19th.. according to the papers I read I’m definitely eligible and am pretty sure I’ll get the expungement. should i just see if they will hold the job or wait till another job opens after the expungement? this guy who interviewed me knows about the convictions but hr has nothing on me yet because I haven’t filled out a formal application. do you have to list convictions that have been expunged?
Sounds like you’re more than qualified for a Cabinet position.
Three credit bureaus won’t allow me to view my credit report?
I just turned 18 and I tried to open a checking account with HSBC. However, to verify my identity they asked me a particularly odd question, about a mortgage taken out in April 2008. They asked me to name the account provider and amount paid. I became curious, and decided to perform a credit check. When I filled out the application they too asked me the same question, when I was unable to answer. They told me I would not be able to view my credit report online.
Can someone, take out a mortgage using my social security number, even though I was 17 in April 2008? If so,what can I do, how will this affect my credit? Where do I go to find out additional information? Who would I report it to?
When the credit bureaus began giving out free credit reports, they knew there would be security problems. They wanted to make certain they were giving the reports to the actual person.
So they set up a program that would ask you questions that only the credit holder would know (based on info in the credit report). One of the standard questions is who your mortgage is with, and what the amount of the monthly payment is.
If you don’t have a mortgage, you simply state “none of the above” and it should accept that answer.
If not, you need to get your report by mail. You will need to send your drivers license, social security card, and proof of your address (utility bills, etc…).
Yes, it’s a pain. But the last think you want is someone with your social security number gaining access to your entire credit history.
It is not likely that someone has taken out credit in your name. But you can verify this once you receive your report.
Does CCJ effects uk nationalty ?
dear all… does CCJ ( court judgments ) or default notices effects when applying for UK citizen ship.the owing amounts are not bigger..if it does then how can it be removed and when to make an application for nationalty…i would highly appreciate for all your replies..many thankss……….
On the basis that you have broken some sort of law to have a CCJ against you does not bode well for your citizenship application. We have enough criminals of our own without allowing any more to become citizens…sarch_uk
CCJ is civil not criminal. It means you owed money to some one and did not repay it within 30 days of the judgement that you had to repay it and it has to be removed after six years from your credit file.
You need to get confirmation that the CCJ has been met. That means the court has to give you certification that you have repaid the debt. People do understand that financial difficulties happen. However if you have not repaid the debt then you should wait until you have before applying for citizenship.
It is not the same as a criminal record which remains on file for 100 years . 00

A CCJ is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, so it should not affect a citizenship application, though outstanding CCJs will certainly affect whether or on what terms you will be allowed credit cards, mortgages, or something as basic as a mobile phone contract. You should obtain a CCJ Satisfaction Certificate from the county court that issued the CCJ as evidence that you have paid your debt (costs £5 if I remember rightly).
Works for a fuel card company that credit checks all its applicants.

A suntrust used car loan, how much will I be paying?
My car im getting is a Gmc Yukon Denali XL. Im buying it used for 24000. But Im Gonna go to suntrust and get a used car loan. So plus intrest and stuff. how much will I be paying ? P.S Idk what this means 1Preliminary auto loan decisions are usually made within 4 hours on applications received during normal business hours. 2A 0.25% interest rate reduction off the standard rate may be obtained with a qualifying SunTrust deposit relationship; an additional 0.25% interest rate reduction off the standard rate on a consumer auto loan is provided if payment is automatically deducted from a SunTrust checking, savings or money market account using SurePay SM; an additional 0.25% interest rate reduction off the standard rate of a consumer auto loan is provided if you have a qualifying first mortgage from SunTrust Mortgage, Inc. Maximum discount is 0.75%. All loan and line discount offers are subject to change. Relationship pricing discounts are not available on existing consumer loans or on Physician Loans, Marine/RV and Education Lending products.
Sounds like this bank wants to keep you as a bank customer by giving you some discounts. Could be a good deal, but I don’t know why you want to buy such a money pit of a vehicle. I hope you have a high paying job, because a Denali will run you quickly to the poor house.
